School Awards

There are 5 main school awards that pupils can achieve; House and Community Award, School Award, Sports Award, 1/2 School Colours and Full School Colours. Each one represents achievement in one or more area of school life and they are awarded annually in December either at the Celebration Assembly or at the School Awards Evening.

The House and Community Award
awarded to pupils who have given loyal service to their House and reflects both sporting and/or non sporting participation or pupils who have made a long term commitment to a community project.

The School Award
awarded to pupils who consistently represent the school at events or who excel at school work consistently throughout their school life.

The Sports Award
given to pupils who continually represent the school at sporting events, such as at Football matches or Athletics competitions.

Half School Colours
awarded to Year 10 pupils who have made an outstanding contribution to the life of the school over many years.

Full School Colours - the 'Blue Tie'
awarded to students, who are in Year 11 and have made an outstanding contribution to the life of the school over many years. Full School Colours is the highest award that a pupil can receive from the school and is awarded to the pupils whose service to the school has been exceptional.

The House, School and Sports awards are badges that are put on to the Blazer, ½ School Colours is a metal badge which is pinned to the Blazer. Full School Colours is a blue tie that should be worn with pride in place of the normal school tie.
