First up for the Year 7 squad this week were Reading League fixtures against Prospect and Theale Green Schools. Against a strong Theale Green team, SBS were held for long periods and with the game heading towards a stalemate, Jacob Lako scored a last-minute try to seal the win.
On Thursday the squad travelled to the South Oxfordshire 10 a side tournament at Wheatley Park School. Playing 5 teams, SBS recorded wins against Lord Williams 15-5, Wallingford 25-0, Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge 20-0 and Wheatley Park 5-0 and drew against Langtree to finish first in the tournament.

Year 11 returned to winning ways this week firstly with a narrow win over local rivals Wallingford 10-7. But excellent defence, notably by wingers Felix Cotton and Oliver Brown prevented Wallingford from reaching the SBS line a second time. In their second game against Prospect School, tries from Jamie Staples, Callum Madley (2), Billy McDermott (2), and Finlay Harrison, as well as an outstanding individual try by Noah Foy, gave SBS a 43-0 victory.
