William Manning, Headteacher at St Birinus, said:

“Year 11 have undergone a school experience like no other over the past three years and they have demonstrated the most remarkable character and resilience. The stop-start of school closures and remote learning has only forged their commitment and determination to succeed this year and we couldn’t be more pleased with their achievements. I know that the entire SBS staff are incredibly proud, and I am very grateful for their relentless hard work and drive, helping students realise their potential and delivering such brilliant outcomes today.”

Rachael Warwick, Executive Headteacher of Ridgeway Education Trust, said:

“Congratulations to all our Year 11 students! We have always been proud of you and today is no exception. You have risen to the unprecedented challenges of the past three years with characteristic determination, good humour and resilience. We are so delighted that your hard work has been rewarded with these excellent results which will open the doors to the next stage of your post-16 study. Thank you to the St Birinus staff team whose commitment and ambition for our young people makes this success possible year after year.”
