Admissions Statement 2022/23 Consultation
Consultation period: Wednesday 09 December 2020 to Thursday 21 January 2021
In accordance with Paragraph 1.42 of the School Admissions Code 2014, the governors of St Birinus School wish to consult on our admissions arrangements for 2022-23 (students joining the school in September 2022, including in-year admissions) and would welcome your feedback on the proposed change.
Please note that the Guidance requires us to consult parents and any interested parties and offer the opportunity to comment on the amendments. We would be delighted to hear from you about the proposed change. Please write to the Company Secretary, Sophy Parkin-Haig, at the St Birinus School address, or email: email@example.com by Thursday 21 January 2021 so that we can take your comments into account in determining our arrangements.
The proposed change for the St Birinus School Admissions Statement is as follows:
Admissions Arrangements for Year 12, page 8
Public consultation on the Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 12 entry in September 2022 being reduced from 150 boys to 120 boys.
We are, however, planning to increase the Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 7 entry in September 2022 from 180 boys to 210 boys. We do not have to consult on an increase to PAN, but wanted to highlight this Year 7 planned PAN increase in relation to the proposed Year 12 PAN reduction.
