Coventry Cathedral

On Monday 5 December, vocal group and young voices from both schools travelled all the way to Coventry to take part and perform in the ROAR project at Coventry cathedral.

As we entered Coventry Cathedral, we were greeted with a splash of kaleidoscopic colour from the immense and iconic window, along with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, which was very exciting and festive! We were rehearsing throughout the day, along with many other schools, and the performance was conducted by the brilliant Paul McCreesh. This was our first time singing alongside a professional choir, and at an event this big.

This was a fantastic opportunity for so many of us! Thank you so much to all of the members of staff who gave up their time to accompany us on this amazing day, and to all of the music staff, who helped us rehearse and work towards such an amazing event!

Christmas Concert

On the 13 December several students from Didcot Girls’, St Birinus and Sutton Courtenay came together to provide an evening of full of Christmas cheer in the annual RET Christmas Concert. Students had spent the whole of the second term practicing their pieces, and it's safe to say that it all paid off wonderfully!

From Debussy to Bon Jovi, the evening displayed a wide variety of pieces that involved solo items, duets, small groups, and our larger ensembles. The engagement and quality of the performances proved a great success and left us all in great anticipation to see what the 2023 Spring concert brings.
