Parent/Teacher Association (PTA)

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Our school parents and teachers association exists to do more than raise much needed funds for the school. There are many rewarding outcomes that make involvement truly worthwhile. It is an opportunity for parents to:

  • Overcome the lack of ‘school gate’ contact often experienced in Senior Schools
  • Forge productive relationships with teachers - particularly Senior Staff
  • Make friends with other parents
  • Enjoy high quality, school centred social events
  • Have ready-made relationships to assist communications in everyday school life.

These benefits are reinforced by the knowledge that your participation helps to enhance the learning and social experience of your sons. Recent PTA funded items include:

  • Dining room refurbishment
  • The school garden project
  • All-weather games tables
  • Digital photography equipment, camera’s and printers
  • Data Projectors
  • Dictionaries and books for an English Department reading project.
  • Extra Mathematics books
  • Music stands for the School Orchestra

Parents who get involved say:

  • “I get back far more than I put in”
  • “The fact that the Senior Teachers come to our meetings is fantastic”
