On Tuesday 9^th December, we were delighted to welcome Carnegie-nominated author Luke Palmer to talk to our Year 9 students. The whole of Year 9 heard extracts from Luke's novels, which explore how easy it might be for teenage boys to get themselves into difficult situations. Luke's words were truly inspiring, giving fascinating insight into the power of reading and encouraging our students to think about the kind of young men they want to be. Selected students also took part in a writing workshop, and there was a book sale over lunch time where students got to meet Luke and get books signed. We were very impressed by the behaviour of Year 9, and grateful to Luke for visiting us.
