A-level Examination Results Summer 2022 – Didcot Sixth Form

Didcot Sixth Form is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its students in A Level qualifications this summer. This cohort have achieved the highest results achieved in public examinations in the history of Didcot Sixth Form, despite considerable disruption to their education over the past three years.

Students in this cohort have worked hard and shown remarkable resilience in challenging circumstances throughout their time at Didcot Sixth Form. We are delighted that the grades students were awarded today recognise this hard work and allow our students to go on to the destinations they desire.

In summary, for the 166 students who completed their A level studies this year:

  • 18% of all entries gained A* grades
  • 44% of all entries gained A*-A grades
  • 68% of all entries gained A*-B grades
  • 88% of all entries gained A*-C grades
  • 99% of all entries gained A*-E grades

In more concrete terms, this means that:

  • 40 students have achieved A or A* grades in all of their A Level qualifications, with 7 of these students receiving A* grades in each of their A Levels
  • 108 students have secured a place at their university of choices. Of these students, more than half have secured places at Russell Group universities
  • 7 students are going on to study at Oxford or Cambridge, with a further 3 students going on to study Medicine, Dentistry, or Veterinary Science

Whilst we celebrate the success of each of our students, there are some exceptional performances, with the following students achieving A* grades in all of their A levels:

  • Lucia di Genova Gonzalez has received 5 A* grades and is going on to study Physics at Imperial College London
  • Lizzy White has received 4 A* grades and is going on to Sidney Sussex College at the University of Cambridge to study Natural Sciences
  • James Cooper has received 4 A* grades and is going on to Worcester College at the University of Oxford to study Mathematics
  • Brandon Hawkes has received 4 A* grades and is going on to the University of Warwick to study Computer Science

  • Felix Marsh has received 3 A* grades and is going to study Mathematics at the University of Bristol
  • Tiegan Campbell has received 3 A* grades and is going to study Biological Sciences at the University of Exeter

We are particularly pleased this year by the number of students who have secured high-quality apprenticeships at a range of employers in the area. These include:
