GCSE and V-cert Examination Results Summer 2025
Posted on: 21/08/2025St Birinus School is celebrating the excellent achievement of its students in their GCSE qualifications this
summer. Students in this Year 11 cohort have worked consistently hard and brought real determination
and character to their Key Stage 4 courses and to school culture more widely. We are delighted that the
grades awarded today genuinely recognise their commitment and ambition and allow students
progress onto the destinations that they desire.
- 70% of our 173 Year 11 students achieved a Grade 4 and above in English and Maths, and 50%
achieved Grade 5 or above in both.
- 64% of students gained 5 GCSE passes including English and Maths (9-4) and 46% of students
gained 5 GCSE passes including English and Maths (9-5).
- 78% of students achieved Grade 4 and above in English and 79% achieved Grade 4 and above
in Maths. At Grade 5 and above, 61% were successful in English and 61% in Maths.

boys have demonstrated a most remarkable character and resilience. I am very pleased with the results
that they have achieved today and so excited for their next steps post 16.
