SBS Remembers

Posted on: 11/11/2021

At St Birinus School we have marked Remembrance Day all week. Our students have had the chance to hear about the significance of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day and poppies have been sold through the week to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. Our young people can be seen wearing their poppies with great pride. On Sunday 14 November, our Head Teacher Mr Manning will be accompanied by 10 students to lay a wreath at the cenotaph in Didcot. On the morning of 11 November, we had two minutes of silence to pay our respects and Year 11 boys formed a circle on the school grounds to hear a reading of In Flanders Fields.
